Who Can Learn Reiki?

Anyone who is interested in Healing can learn Reiki. You don't have to study or learn Reiki all you need to do is become attuned to it! Once you have received your Reiki attunement, you are attuned for life. An attunement activates your healing energy which starts a cleansing or clearing process which then opens up the mind, body and spirit. In-depth Reiki training also includes considerable follow-up support. My training is either with small groups or on a one-to-one basis, which enables the course to be tailored to the personal requirements and pace of the students.

I teach Usui Reiki in Three Degrees with each degree being complete in itself. Many people will only wish to study the First Degree while some go on to do the Second Degree; only a few are called to do the Advanced Reiki Training or Master/Teacher Degree.

Practitioners from other disciplines are encouraged to consider Reiki training, e.g: Shiatsu, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Experience has shown that the effectiveness of other therapies is greatly enhanced when combined with Reiki. At each level you will be certified as a Reiki Practitioner and receive the relevant Certificate together with ongoing backup, assistance and support.

As well as an extremely comprehensive and professional manual (172 pages for Reiki 1 and 112 pages for Reiki 2), you will also receive original CDs to further enhance your study, meditation and practice of Reiki. Each level of training covers many aspects in the art of healing and the following is intended as an outline only to some of the topics.

First Degree

You will learn:

• The History of Reiki

• Hand positions for self and others
• How to give a full body treatment
• Daily energy exercises
• How to work with the Tanden
• Hatsu Rei Ho

Second Degree

You will learn how to work with the Reiki Symbols:

• The Power Symbol intensifies the Reiki energy
• The Mental & Emotional symbol helps to:
  • balance the right and left sides of the brain,
  • enhance spiritual and emotional growth,
  • and, can be used for healing unwanted or addictive habits.
• The Distance Symbol bridges time and space.
  • This symbol can be used to heal emotional wounds from the past;
  • to empower the realisation of goals
  • and, to send healing to others.
• How to perform Reiji Ho
• The power of intent, i.e. beaming & radiating Reiki
• Space Clearing and protection
• Develop more powerful healing energies, which penetrate to greater depths for maximum healing.

Advanced Reiki Training

You will learn:

• Aura Cleansing
• How to set up and use a Crystal Grid
• How to use Crystals with Reiki
• The Grace Symbol
• The Kotodama
• The Violet Fire
• How to use and work with the Antahkarana
• Reiki Shower Technique
• Microcosmic Orbit
• How to connect and work with the Angels and the Higher Realms

This degree is for those who have been working with Reiki for some time and who wish to make a stronger commitment to Reiki. The minimum requirement is attunement to Reiki 2 level and to have worked with the energy consistently for six months. The techniques taught on this course will enable working at the Master Practitioner level with even greater effectiveness.

This level is ideal for those who want to receive the Master attunement but who may not wish to teach. However, for those who do intend to teach Reiki, Advanced Reiki Training (ART) gives an excellent grounding in advanced healing techniques which will help to prepare and support students. It is suggested that students work at ART level for three months before embarking on the Master/Teacher course.

Master/Teacher Level

You will receive the complete Usui/Tibetan Master attunement, together with the relevant symbols. This level is only for those truly dedicated to sharing their knowledge of Reiki with others. Master/Teacher level carries a high level of responsibility.

You will learn:

• How to attune others to Reiki
• What to teach at each level
• How to teach Reiki
• Values and spiritual orientation of a true Reiki Master
• How to give a Healing Attunement.
• Breath Techniques
• Self-Energising Exercises

This level is intended for teaching and attuning others to Reiki. The minimum requirement is to have completed Advanced Reiki Training and be fully proficient in all the techniques taught at ART level and have been practising for at least three months.

It is expected that Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 level would be taught for the first year before considering training another Reiki Master. It is hoped that this will ensure high standards and consistency of symbols and teaching methods.

A Reiki Master is something one is always becoming and implies mastership over oneself, not others.

Karuna Reiki®
In order to study Karuna Reiki® the student must hold a certificate at Advanced Reiki Training level. It is necessary to have been working at this level for some time in order to assimilate the higher energies involved.

Karuna is a Sanskrit word which can be translated to mean 'any action taken to diminish the suffering of others' or 'compassionate action'. Most students find this system much more powerful than Usui Reiki and the symbols easy to learn.

Practitioner I - (4 symbols)
Learn to help heal karmic issues, cellular memory, relationships, break up negative patterns in the unconscious, develop good habits, clear rooms of negative energies - and more.

Practitioner II - (4 symbols)
Develop stronger links with the Higher Self, improve learning abilities, creativity and communication skills, ability to prioritise, help heal co-dependent and addictive behaviours, heal the earth - and more.

Practitioner I and II
These levels are taken together. The course includes the origins of Karuna ReikiŽ, activating symbols, hands-on practical work, healing the shadow self, working more closely with Guides and Ascended Masters; chanting and toning (healing with sound).

Karuna Reiki® Master I and II
This level is open to those who have taken Reiki Master training and who have been working at the Master level. It includes all the above plus four Master symbols, chanting and toning with all the symbols, more practical work, instruction and practice in giving attunements for all levels, as well as how to teach Karuna Reiki® as a four level programme or three day intensive.
All levels are accompanied by manual(s) and certificate(s) as appropriate.
Registration is with the International Center for Reiki Training, USA under William Lee Rand.
Registered Karuna Reiki® Practitioners and Masters also receive a seal and personal registration number for the certificate(s).
